So What's Next?!

As another uni semester and year ends people often question what they are going to do after university, for some its to travel, for others its further study in order to pursue their dream career and then the question gets posed to me " Emily what are your plans after you finish?". I've always been the kind of girl who's known since I could walk what I wanted to achieve and do for a living and as I got older I realized what my soul purpose was in this lifetime and I want to do nothing but be my authentic self in honouring that, however I cant help but become stumped when someone asks me that question almost to imply that I need to have every specific detail of my life mapped out.

The truth is I may know what I see myself doing and I may know what I'm passionate about, however I don't know what the next steps are and that is totally ay-okay!! It may be scary at first and to a lot of people the fear of the unknown is terrifying and sends them into all shocks and waves of anxiety but for myself I'm learning to have peace with it as life has a funny way of planning things out and happening in the perfect timing!
My question to everyone else in return is this. Why are we always so focused on the next step and then the next and the one after that... Why can't we be in the here and now. Totally unaware, present, mindful and totally okay with that!
I recently watched an awesome documentary special by a guy named Kyle Cease and besides laughing hysterically for two hours, he made a really good point by stating that as humans we are always asking how and when. How can I be the best or how fast can I lose weight etc.
Stop for a moment and love where you are today! It's okay to not know where your gonna be tomorrow or in the next year, because the road to success isn't a straight line, it has curves and bumps that the Universe will throw at you to see how determined you are but if you persevere and follow your heart then one day you'll look around and notice that you're exactly where you are meant to be.
